Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Zepruv (“we”) collects when you use our website and app at zepruv.me, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Google user data

If you choose Sign in with Google, we receive only your name, email address and profile picture (the openid, email and profile permissions). We use them to create your account, sign you in and show your name and photo in the app. We do not access any other Google data, such as Gmail, Drive, Calendar or Contacts. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or share it except with the service providers that help us run Zepruv or when the law requires. You can remove Zepruv’s access at any time from your Google Account’s security settings.

Zepruv’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

1. Information we collect

Account information: your name and email address, and a password if you sign up with one (stored only in hashed form). If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from them.
Profile information you choose to add, such as a photo, a bio, your target role and links to your professional profiles.
Resume: if you upload one, we store it and analyze it to personalize your interviews.
Practice and interview information: the code you submit, and the scores and feedback from your interviews. Interviews that an institution schedules for you may be recorded, as described below.
Content you send us, such as discussion posts and support requests.
Technical information, such as your IP address, device and browser type, and logs of how our service is used, which we use to keep it secure and working.

If you use Zepruv through your college or another institution, that institution can see your schedule and interview results for its program and, for interviews it schedules, their recordings.

2. How we use it

We use your information to provide and improve Zepruv: to run your practice and interviews and give you feedback, personalize them to your profile and resume, communicate with you (for example verification and reminder emails), keep the service secure and fair, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Cookies

We use only cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary for Zepruv to work, for example to keep you signed in and to protect your account. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we introduce optional analytics in the future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

Service providers that run parts of Zepruv for us, for example cloud hosting and storage, AI and speech processing, email delivery, and system monitoring. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
People you interact with: other participants in an interview, and your institution as described above.
When required: to comply with the law, protect the rights and safety of our users or Zepruv, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy continues to apply.

Our main infrastructure is in India. Some of our providers process data in other countries.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data, except where we must keep some of it for legal reasons or it remains in backups for a limited time.

6. Your rights and choices

You can view and edit your profile, download a copy of your data, and delete your account from your account settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have other rights, such as to object to certain processing or to complain to a data protection authority. For anything you cannot do in the app, contact us.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you where the law requires if a breach affects it.

8. Children

Zepruv is not directed at children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email.
